The Renaissance Castle Rosenburg is one of the best preserved architectural monuments of its kind in Austria. It was first documentary mentioned in 1175, but most of the construction work that lead to today´s appearance of the building was done between 1593–597, the zenith of the Renaissance epoch in Europe. The ensemble is framed by an impressive tournament court and adjoining gardens, giving a superb impression of the garden architecture of the Renaissance epoch. As one of the few Renaissance castles, Rosenburg possesses a fully operational Renaissance falconry. Today the Renaissance Castle Rosenburg is a very popular place for excursions and the unique setting of weddings, meetings, festivals, celebrations and happenings of any kind. Catering is available in-house.
