Architecture, art, music and politics - the Sofiensäle embodies the story of the historic Vienna like few other buildings. The well-known architectural gem in the 3rd District of Vienna was originally built in 1828 as a steam bath / Turkish bath. In the 1990s, the Sofiensäle experienced its time of prosperity until 2001 - when it was burnt down to ashes. After the revitalization of Sofiensäle, Ing Joachim Bankel and Mag. Lukas Grünbichler run the Sofiensäle and the restaurant, including a Bar called THE ROOM through their company founded in 2013 (SOFIENSÄLE GASTRONOMIE & EVENT GmbH).
The Sofiensäle is the new jewel among the Viennese event locations with its banquet hall of 700 m2. As one of the few venues in Vienna, it offers the possibility to seat up to 450 - 500 people in a room for a gala dinner. For a professional planning and implementing a set dinner, many years of experience is inevitable, and exactly that was a reason why SOFIENSÄLE GASTRONOMIE & EVENT GmbH among with impacts Catering & Events developed an exclusive catering line, following the motto "One bite is worth a thousand words". impacts is a leader in the catering industry and is characterized by the highest quality and innovative concepts. The conscious use of regional and local food is a basic principle of the company and therefore impacts is also winner of the "Austrian Ecolabel" and "Green Meetings & Events" certification.
The architectural jewelry box offers the breathtaking ballroom, as well as modern technical facilities and the perfect conditions for successful events of all kinds. The 130m2 large foyer with the BAR offer themselves as the perfect place for an aperitif or are also available exclusively for small events. In addition, the Saloon (140m ²) on the 3rd floor ensures a more intimate & impressive ambience for smaller events.
The Sofiensäle offers in addition haute cuisine, customized concepts and high quality. Social skills, such as the inclusion of potential participants in design and also lateral thinking throughout the organization sequence are essential cornerstones of the company.
